The dock

The private fishing dock and the marsh

The property backs onto the salt marsh on the Intracoastal side of Atlantic Beach. A private dock reaches out over it, and the community's nature trails run along it. This is the part of Tidewater that no other apartment at the beaches has.

What the dock is

A resident-only dock over the marsh behind the community, reached from the nature trails. People fish from it, drink coffee on it at sunrise and watch the sunset from it, roughly in that order through the day. The marsh is tidal, so the view changes twice a day.

Fishing

Florida regulates saltwater fishing, including from docks, and the rules on licenses, seasons and sizes are set by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Some shoreline fishing is exempt from the license and some is not, and we are not the authority on which. Check FWC before you cast.

The trails and the preserves

The community's own trails are the everyday walk. Past the gate, two City of Atlantic Beach preserves sit on the same marsh: Dutton Island Preserve, 1.6 miles, with 9,000 feet of trails, a fishing and viewing pier and a kayak launch, open 8 a.m. to dusk, and Tideviews Preserve, 1.9 miles, at the south end of town. Parks and trails has the rest.

One bedrooms are 660 square feet from $1,329 a month and two bedroom, two bath homes are 880 square feet from $1,459, both with quartz counters, wood-look flooring and a full-size washer and dryer in the home. Live pricing is on the availability page.
