Commuting from Tidewater
Tidewater is on Jimmy Buffett Memorial Highway, the road most locals still call Mayport Road, at the north end of Atlantic Beach. Here is where the main destinations are, in miles, and how the bus runs.
By car
Downtown Jacksonville is 16.6 miles west: south on Mayport Road to Atlantic Boulevard, then straight down Atlantic Boulevard across the Intracoastal. Atlantic Beach Town Center is 2.1 miles south and the Publix on Atlantic Boulevard is 2.3 miles. Hanna Park is 2.1 miles north.

By bus
The Jacksonville Transportation Authority runs a fixed route along Mayport Road and another along Atlantic Boulevard that crosses it, with connections toward downtown. Routes, numbers and schedules change, so plan a trip on JTA's site or the Transit app with our address as the start point rather than relying on a route number printed here.
By bike
The beach access at the end of Atlantic Boulevard is 2.3 miles and Town Center is 2.1. Both are flat rides. Every apartment has private parking for the car you will use less than you expect.
