Tidewater is 2.2 miles from the Hanna Park entrance, measured by road. If the park is the reason you are looking at this end of the beach, this is the short version.

What is in the park

Hanna Park is the city’s oceanfront park at the north end of the beaches. The City of Jacksonville lists 1.5 miles of sandy beach, a 60-acre freshwater lake for fishing, kayaking and paddle boats, wooded campsites, and hiking and mountain bike trails through the coastal hammock.

Published trail mileage varies by source, so we are not going to put a number on it. There is an entry fee per vehicle, and the city sets the current rate and the hours.

Why 2.2 miles matters

Close enough that the park becomes part of the week rather than a weekend outing. Riders and runners use it before work. It is also the difference between paying for oceanfront and living two miles from it.

What you get here

One bedrooms at 660 square feet and two bedroom, two bath homes at 880, both with quartz counters, wood-look flooring and a full-size washer and dryer in the home. A resort-style pool, a fitness center, a dog park, and the community’s own nature trails and private fishing dock on the marsh side.
